内维尔·舒特（Nevil Shute，1899—1960），英国小说家。生于伦敦，1950年迁居墨尔本。他本姓诺威（Norway），开始创作小说后，为避免对其航空工程师的事业造成影响，遂拿掉姓氏发表作品。舒特善用清晰的笔调和明快的情节讲故事，以第三人的眼光打量社会各阶层的人与事，其作品涉及阶级、种族、宗教和爱情等议题，且常以丰富的科学知识来探索人类对未来的幻想。《世界就是这样结束的》（On the Beach）是其代表作。
