一战后的英国人也永远不忘了喝茶。本人在看本书介绍的时候看到“少年对性和烟草的感觉和发展”，以为是像猜火车一类的作品。但全书最精彩的部分可能是男主叔叔在宿舍偷偷抽烟还有男二的熟女情妇，但这些都hardly 让这本书对的起description

A Dance to the Music of Time #1 原本一直以为Powell是Wodehouse或者Waugh那种风格，没想到有点像Joyce的青年艺术家，也很接近sense of an ending和the liar，总之就是典型的公校小子边回忆边唏嘘的忆事簿。没什么情节，但读完以后对各个人物倒是都有很深刻的印象。神奇。
