图书描述

This Edwardian social comedy explores love and prim propriety among an eccentric cast of characters assembled in an Italian pensione and in a corner of Surrey, England. A charming young English woman, Lucy Honeychurch, faints into the arms of a fellow Britisher when she witnesses a murder in a Florentine piazza. 需要耐心读下去 但越读，越豁然开朗。 最喜欢forster在此书出版五十年后的后记。 他最后的那种宽容， 是一个作家最闪光的品质。
