著者简介

Bryan Burrough is a reporter for the Wall Street Journal in New York. In 1987 he won the John Hancock Award for Excellence in Business and Financial Journalism. John Helyar worked for the Wall Street Journal for nine years. He is now a senior editor of Southpoint, a business magazine based in Atlanta, Georgia.

从Standard Nabisco到RJR Nabisco到KKR buyout，尤其是最后一部分，真是一个冗长的deal。。看Ross Johnson由辉煌到疲惫，看各个公司为自己的原因而较劲。每一章的主题很明确。

一本带有文学色彩的纪实小说。从最先想通过MBO私有化公司的CEO Johnson开始，一幅群雄逐鹿的大卷缓缓铺陈开来。各方势力凭借资本的力量试图最大化自己的利益。最后其实并没有赢家，反而企业受到致命打击一蹶不振，KKR也经此一役慢慢被黑石和凯雷后来居上。书中很多细节非常详尽，彷佛作者全程在旁观摩一般。如果宝能收购万科一战也能有类似书籍就更妙了。

感觉读不下去了。。。太啰嗦了，扯得好远。。。整个deal的细节很详细，再加一颗星。
