很久不见这样精巧讲述American Life的短篇小说集，特别喜欢开篇的几个故事，有些卡森麦卡勒斯的影子，在营造孤独感之外不忘时时戳破人性的软弱和生活的虚妄。中间几篇有点审美疲劳，最后两个故事还算不错。
评分太小我了，所以最小我的兄弟滑雪记还更鲜活一点。很多篇在以为要结束的节点其实只到一半，修正了狭隘的我。

评分I just cannot bring myself to give a shit about the characters... no connection whatsoever... 好像能感受到作者想走的文风方向，但最后结果文笔过于平淡。听的有声书，narrator们非常好，算是个亮点
