We may tell from this book that the author, at some point, sincerely wanted to deviate from Sherlock Holmes series and write something else. Depressing as the Part II may seem, the novel is not mundane after all.

和《血字研究》一樣的模式，前麵還是很精彩的，感覺三集片102的真正來源應該是這一部吧。後麵的……好吧，我看偵探小說真心不喜歡看到偵探不齣場的情節……
