著者簡介

Li-Young Lee，1957年在印尼的雅加達，齣生於一個中國父母的傢庭。他父親在印尼幫助建立起嘎瑪利(Gamaliel)大學。1959年，因為印尼的反華情緒，他們全傢逃難離開印尼，途徑香港、澳門、日本，曆時5年，最後在美國安頓下來。

Li-Young Lee前後在美國就讀過匹茲堡大學、亞利桑那大學、和在布洛剋潑特(Brockport)的紐約州立大學。他還在若乾大學任過教，其中包括西北大學和愛荷華大學。他是數本書的作者，它們是：《我的夜》(2001年博阿版本)，1990年入選拉濛(Lamont )詩集的《這讓我愛你的城市》(1991年)，榮獲施瓦茲(Delmore Schwartz )紀念館詩奬的《玫瑰》(1986)，另外還有《長翅膀的種子：一部迴憶錄》(1986)，此書獲前哥倫布基金會頒發的美國圖書奬。李立揚所獲的其他奬項包括：藍南(Lannan)文學奬，外廳(Whiting) 作傢奬，來自伊利諾斯州藝術委員會、賓夕法尼亞州共和體、賓夕法尼亞州藝術委員會、和美國國傢藝術捐助基金會的撥款，另外還有顧根海姆基金會奬學金。他傢住芝加哥，與他的妻子唐娜和他們的兩個兒子一起生活。
