並不是非常有用的書。劍橋係列可以看作是論文選，而且是基於已有作品的重述。第一章五要素純粹是闡述，瞭解曆史的沒必要讀，不瞭解的讀起來會很枯燥——不瞭解街舞和塗鴉部分，由於篇幅過短，讀起來完全是雲裏霧裏；而其他，如唱盤主義部分幾乎就是把 Mark Katz 的書概述瞭一下。第二部分的論述很學術化，讀起來相當艱難，由於是論文，常常廢話連篇，還有一些內容是在重復他人或自己此前的論文。第三部分有一定可讀性，但也是基於已有研究，所以還不如去看更長更完整的論文有意義（比如 Mike D'Errico 一篇，就是壓縮瞭一下自己之前一篇論文）。綜上所述，這本難道是入門教材？？
