具体描述
Here at last is a crochet book, devoted
exclusively to home accessories, that
presents crochet with sophistication,
freshness, and style. The author has
designed over 40 projects to show
how crochet can be used in contem-
porary decorating from both an ar-
tistic and functional point of view.
Anne Halliday sees crochet as a
unique needlecraft -- the only one
that can successfully imitate other
forms of stitchery. She utilizes new
methods, along with updated ver-
sions of traditional techniques, to
create tapestries, macram6-style
plant hangers, unusual rug and af-
ghan designs, textured fabrics for
furniture treatments, throw pillows
and seat cushions that simulate nee-
dlepoint, embroidery-type appliqu6s
to frame as pictures, bedroom acces-
sories, curtains, table settings, and
many more.
