布萊恩•阿瑟（Brian Arthur）

 研究正反饋機製的先驅，以“收益遞增規律”為基礎形成瞭自己的新經濟思想。

 榮獲復雜性科學領域的首屆拉格朗日奬。

 1990 年榮獲熊彼特奬。

This is one of the few books that I had high expectation for but chose to throw away after wading through the first chapters. Self-claimed originality and stifling pedantry are just the nature of “Bore-ology”.

這本書Amazon上很多人給瞭四星，我想可能理工科同學看起來更有感覺吧。對於我來說，那些例子連篇的專業單詞暫且不論，即使是IDEA，也好像有點剖析得過於細緻瞭點，像做外科手術一樣把科技肢解開，然後呢？然後說科技是建立在之前技術的基礎上的……當然不可否認，作者很賣力地很詳細地去解釋他的觀點，這點還是很considerate，但是對於一個彆人很好理解的點，有的時候也許不需要這麼長篇幅來作解吧。當然，也可能是我太淺薄瞭，沒有讀懂其中的精華所在。

我刚刚在想，为什么我要说阿瑟夸夸其谈、哗众取宠呢？即使他啰里八嗦就说了一个核心观点，然后又东拉西扯做了一些不准确的类比和扩展，也没有必要这么刻薄人家呀。等我想要说，他的核心观点是“技术是模块化构成”之后，然后说他的其他一些似是而非的观点的时候我自己才明白过...
