Karen Russell (born July 10, 1981) is an American novelist and short story writer. Her debut novel, Swamplandia!, was a finalist for th e 2012 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. She was also the recipient of a MacArthur Foundation "Genius Grant" in 2013.

Great stories crossing over Fantasy and Literary world. Very original. No wonder Karen Russell made it into the only one of New Yorker’s “20 under 40” when she was only 28. Full of talent and imagination. Personally I do feel some of the plot twists could be slower and characters built up even more fully.
