At Shri Mataji's 80th birthday celebrations in New Delhi, on March 21st 2003, The Third Advent, by G.G. Kalbermatten, was presented to Shri Mataji by Alan Wherry, publisher of daisyamerica LLC.
The Third Advent takes the prophecies of a 12th century Italian mystic, Giacomo Di Fiore, who saw that there would be three great ages in the history of religion, the Age of the Father, said by the author to correspond to the time from Lord Krishna through to the birth of Lord Jesus Christ, the Age of the Son, from the advent of Jesus to the present time, and The Age of the Mother, i.e. The Third Advent, that of the divine mother.
The Third Advent is a history of the last 6000 years in which the author shows why the great religions, philosophies and economic systems of the world have all failed to bring about the emancipation of the human race.
He goes on to show that it is only through individual transformation that mankind can make the changes necessary to save itself and thence the earth itself. The Third Advent presents a message of great hope, that through the unique discovery of en masse Self-realization through Sahaja Yoga, at individual, corporate and collective levels, the goals intended by the great religions, i.e. the emancipation of the entire human race, can be achieved.
Early quotes on the The Third Advent include:
The Third Advent is an awesome achievement. It is a huge leap forward over what was in The Advent. Fantastically enjoyable and stimulating.
Dr. Bogdan Shehovych, Australia
Thoughts fade away, inspiration emerges as the deeper truth.
Dr. Udo Szekulics, Czech Republic
A tremendous feat. Kalbermatten is tremendously learned and has the amazing ability to draw from popular culture, and dig deeper into history and world religions.

The Third Advent submits a fascinating hypothesis to test: that within us lies the power to transform the microcosm of our consciousness as well as the macrocosm of society. Not only, but that power can now be activated and used by anyone who seriously applies attention and desire to it.
As a social scientist, I marvel at the simplicity and the potential significance of this proposition. If the hypothesis stands up to sound and honest scrutiny, then this book will go down in history as a revolutionary contribution to mankind's learning and development. Interestingly, even if it is not, the mere reflection on the set of observations offered in this book will more than compensate the reader for the investment made.
Given the height of the stakes, it seems hard to justify passing on the opportunity to acquaint oneself with this work and to validate its claims at least in the confined reality of our own life. Future research and the collective experience of readers like you and me will draw the line between optimistic belief and universal truth. In the process, you are in for a treat!
