关于帝国式繁荣带来的影响还有不少可写的 有不少是和传统帝国的特征一致的，比如帝国内部底层待遇的提高——尽管从一些自由主义者的标准来看，欧洲大众的民主要求就像罗马的被释奴隶获得公民权一样是自由世界邪恶而堕落的灾难。（对此我先暂时不发表评论，这件事儿还得到极端...  

断断续续看完了，越看越喜欢。结尾处非常感慨，“它就像在大礼堂等待了很久之后，一出伟大而令人兴奋的历史剧终于开幕；在这出戏中，观众便是演员。” 在这个如此荒诞充满奇迹与意外的当下，观众便是演员，你我都是。
