其實我讀的是Penguin Classics版本的。以前一直覺得沒有受過良好教育的人不可能寫齣經典作品，但是這本書真的讓我覺得it never finishes what it intends to say. 從極度苦難中存活下來，作者對痛苦、人性和其他forms of oppression的理解深刻得令人戰栗。黑奴寫的東西不當史料讀，讀不齣它的偉大之處。

非裔美國女性文學課//slavery is terrible for men，but it is more terrible for women.大多數奴隸主受過教育甚至高等教育，但仍然認為自己有權利對他的奴隸做任何事情；他們不希望看到奴隸生活的舒服。這兩點似乎在大屠殺那本書裏可以找到一些答案：1.集閤體（奴隸主們）去做一件如果單個人做看起來很瘋狂很殘酷的事情時，事情就變得符閤常理瞭。2.他人（另一種顔色的人）的主權成瞭對自己主權的攻擊。一個民族的權利在另一個民族就是越軌。作者一直在強調我們不能用同樣的道德去judge她所處的條件下作齣的違背道德的事情，然而她悲慘的命運甚至在大多數女性奴隸中仍屬於幸運至極。

補錄/African American Literature/年代比較早瞭，所以有些敘述手法比較單一（總覺得女主有被害妄想癥，男主人有霸道總裁傾嚮）/當然，奴隸生活真的很悲慘啊。
