不得不說白邦瑞對某國政府的理解可謂是入木三分。某國行之千年的「權謀」之術在白邦瑞以《戰國策》為理論藍本的剖析下被淋漓盡致地展現在了美國大眾和美國政府的眼前。從另一方面亦能證明所謂的「帝制中國的歷史慣性」不僅在歷史學和文化研究上能發揮效用，在實際的國際關係問題的運用中也能揮灑自如。可以說是日後中國研究值得深耕的一個亮點。
