评分虽然说有很强的鹰派主义色彩，但不失为理解外国人怎样看待我们耳濡目染的中国文化的好书。
评分可以在一定程度上代表目前西方世界主流是怎么看中国的，这是propaganda的力量。白邦瑞作为一个美国人，能研究/理解中国到这个程度已然让人惊讶了。但意识形态的差异，不是隔一道墙那么简单，而是千千万万的峰峦与沟壑。整本书看下来，作者还是没能悟明白“在战略上要藐视敌人，在战术上要重视敌人”这句话。
