作者写这本书写到一半去写关于 SQL 和 XML 的技术书了……同样给人民邮电和机械工业攒书的亲们，加油

记得课上老师说the “water” in the title is actually the “hope” 整本书在两个时间线里穿插整个故事很丰富人与人之间的关系及其变化阶级之间的冲突还有男女主人公和大象Rosie之间的感情有很多细节都是让我动容的……除了发生在过去的精彩故事年迈的Jacob对于马戏团古怪的偏执也很让人印象深刻

马戏团和大萧条的背景为老掉牙的婚外恋爱情故事增色不少，但是。。。也仍然就是个畅销书而已。倒是很想看看电影中的Rosie。
