我在Northwestern上学时的量子场论就用的这本书，这次又精读了一遍。笔记做了两本半，并且以后会把课后题目做掉。这本书的结构很新颖，先把spin-0的场论全部讲完，然后再讲spin-1/2的，之后是spin-1的，最后讲了一些QCD effective theory和SUSY。这种安排的好处是思路清晰，让读者先了解场论的框架，然后在填充更加复杂的细节。这本书有取代Peskin成为标准教材的趋势。

其实这本的推导细节反而少点，所以对于先建立起一个picture有帮助。解决实际计算并不如Peskin.

总体来说还算不错，尤其是关于群表示那里。虽然有重整化群有效场论等东西，但是我并没有感觉写的多好，关于此书的最后一部分也有一些关于近代物理的基础，但感觉讲的一般，还是期待能有一本专门面向场论方向的场论教材。
