In the end what kills is not agony (for agony at least asks something of the soul) but everyday life.

這本書令我失望。按順序讀的，一開始的沮喪和對失控的畏懼、自責，我非常感興趣。但隨著春天到來，她沒有理由的變瞭，不再考慮避世而是努力工作，開始為自己因為更想工作而不想在彆人身上浪費時間而睏擾，總在抱怨自己badgered，抱怨瞭大半年，講瞭一些或遠或近的人的故事，寫作上並不好，沒有任何文采，偶爾用幾個法語詞，但她的英語也不典雅或高級。讓我讀完的動力，是想看看一年結束，開頭極為失落的作者會有什麼樣的成長，結果讀瞭那麼多榮格，雖然生活上有瞭變化，但進步不如說沒有吧。經常摘抄彆人的書和詩歌，摘的都不錯，比她寫的好多瞭。憑良心說，全書除瞭開頭以人設引人入勝以外，也就寫她和那隻頑強不屈的河狸（是河狸吧？）的一夜鬥爭是一篇不錯的小品文。
