台北诚品买的书，背着从宝岛之北走到宝岛之南再回到宝岛之北。骂骂咧咧的毒舌小日记，很适合路上断断续续打发时间。苏格兰二手书商赚钱活在长年阴冷潮湿的环境，丧也如我们是日常丧，生气起来会上脸书吐槽进门的顾客，发起怒来会上eBay收个二手kindle，跑到后头小花园一枪毙之，二手纸书书商得靠网络宣传卖货营生，电商网站还能共存互利，电子书则绝不原谅。

苏格兰的白老板事无巨细地记录了一整年二手书商日常，有对顾客和店员们的嬉笑怒骂，有对亚马逊与电子书的咬牙切齿，更多的其实是关于当代二手书交易的规矩。说起来他下了重笔墨无非是讲些开门关门、进货下单修暖气的琐事，然而本书却有种令人难以抗拒的亲切感，仿佛与他一起在遇到常客时会心一笑。
