This dazzling collection of 14 original Kumiko Sudo designs is inspired by traditional Japanese Kake-jiku - the hand-painted scrolls that hang in entryways and alcoves to celebrate the seasons and bestow good fortune on the household. With her intuitive sense of colour and design, Sudo has rendered each in contemporary fabrics. Like picture-windows into Japanese culture, all designs are constructed using Sudo's unique brand of Japanese applique.
