大热的这一本，却根本读不下去，太抵触女主这种性格了。年纪大了丧失圣母耐心，生活中遇到这种情商低、为人苛刻、自私淡漠的人，也是实在提不起兴趣去了解其内心世界和往日创伤。看书评说好多人也是要停下来缓一缓才能接着读，我还是敬谢不敏了…

得承认我是带着“偏见”开始读它的：17年畅销书，而如今出版商市场营销言不符实的原因，读者很多时候不得不调整期望值，尤其是遇到“通俗小说”的时候。所以意外的，我很喜欢这本书。Oliphant令人印象深刻，从头到底都让我不停地琢磨她，因她社交上的或迟钝或无礼而笑出声，又同时忍不住很想给她一个拥抱。She makes me care. 书涉及的最大的主题：孤独（其他的: 误解，不懂自己，不懂他人，勇敢友谊）不是第一次被探讨的。但这本书的魅力在于作者塑造出的主人公，带着很多现代高速社会不宽容的行为，让我们觉得真实的同时也下意识的反思：我有没有犯书里人物的错误，快速地审判他人？而我们的社会是不是也只喜欢接受一个“我很好”的答案？不会，因为我们还有很多的Elearnor 和 Raymond
