Caitlin Doughty is a licensed mortician and the host and creator of the "Ask a Mortician" web series. She founded the death acceptance collective The Order of the Good Death and cofounded Death Salon. She lives in Los Angeles.

The most witty book that I read, and the topic of death has occurred to me thousands of times. I have a friend who dies at Berkeley, on Shuttuck Ave that appears in this book, and his funeral service is hold in Oakland, the same place the stories happened in the book. This makes this book so real-life to me, and it does make me feel much better

殯儀館裏的死亡思考，在一個對死亡隱而不論的社會，很獵奇，也很敬畏。最好的部分其實是作者進入亡者世界的契機，童年時目睹小女孩慘死的心理陰影，「讓每個人能夠整潔而美好地離開」的理由纔是動人的。也許是對死亡本身都沒有任何實感，所以一直覺得死亡對於我而言不會造成任何恐慌，更多的是宿命論的無謂感。我恐慌的是疾病，而非死亡。但看完之後覺得，在處理遺體這件事上，還蠻認同作者這種佛係態度的，最好能迴到自然去(不過關於屍體不會産生病菌和威脅生命健康這點還沒有完全信服

學到瞭很多知識，不同的殯葬文化自己對死亡以及死後的思考，我對死亡的恐懼應該是afraid of what might happen to me if there is a life after death....不過應該沒有吧？但是誰又知道呢，隻有dead知道

還不錯，前麵大部分比較好看，看她工作的那段經曆，能正麵死亡的確是最好的態度瞭，不遮遮掩掩。最後一部分比較無聊瞭講她自己的蛻變。
