Which takes us from comics (like SANDMAN) to novels (like ANANSI BOYS and AMERICAN GODS) to short stories (some are collected in SMOKE AND MIRRORS) and to occasionally movies (like Dave McKean's MIRRORMASK or the NEVERWHERE TV series, or my own short film A SHORT FILM ABOUT JOHN BOLTON).

In my spare time I read and sleep and eat and try to keep the blog at www.neilgaiman.com more or less up to date.

有剧透有剧透有剧透有剧透有剧透有剧透 故事是简单的。展开是神奇的。缅怀是惆怅的。细思是略恐的。 一开始平常，主角回家参加一个葬礼，始终没提是谁的葬礼。 然后他回忆七岁那年发生的一件事。盖曼的惊悚常态出现。小猫被压死了...房客自杀了...邻居不寻常-----都用平常...

这些年下来，尼尔盖曼的书断断续续也看了不少。印象中它们大多是温暖的，这种温暖可以包裹在传说故事中（《星尘》），也可以经由惊悚悬疑的调调慢慢抽丝剥茧引出（《蜘蛛男孩》），甚至可以以哥特的风格呈现出来（《坟场之书》）。题材风格于小说只是一种表现形式，而作者...

读的时候不停怀疑“他是不是发挥失常了”“这次写得太平常了”；可当我读完整本合上书那之后的整整一天，都还沉浸在故事的气氛和情绪里无法自拔。不得不说这次的老梗用得非常常规流式化，但是盖曼的本事就是这样的：在最通俗最常见的桥段里细细浸满了悲伤、哀恸、希望、...
