Area X has been cut off from the rest of the continent for decades. Nature has reclaimed the last vestiges of human civilization. The first expedition returned with reports of a pristine, Edenic landscape; the second expedition ended in mass suicide, the third expedition in a hail of gunfire as its members turned on one another. The members of the eleventh expedition returned as shadows of their former selves, and within weeks, all had died of cancer. In Annihilation, the first volume of Jeff VanderMeer's Southern Reach trilogy, we join the twelfth expedition.
The group is made up of four women: an anthropologist; a surveyor; a psychologist, the de facto leader; and our narrator, a biologist. Their mission is to map the terrain, record all observations of their surroundings and of one anotioner, and, above all, avoid being contaminated by Area X itself.
They arrive expecting the unexpected, and Area X delivers—they discover a massive topographic anomaly and life forms that surpass understanding—but it’s the surprises that came across the border with them and the secrets the expedition members are keeping from one another that change everything.

評分 評分很多隐喻，很多坑，但是没有任何的明示或者暗示。一直是靠悬念来推进的故事剧情。 我看过电影，少不了依靠对电影的理解来理解原著。相比电影的人直接刺激感官，原著中女主的心理描写有点太多，很多没啥意思，看起来有点枯燥 不是很喜欢，据说第三第二集也不是很高，所以打算弃...

這本像是個長引子，隻挖坑不填，讓我想到當年追的Lost。不過，男女主角的感情綫還是很吸引我。夫妻之間的感情總不比情侶之間的清晰明瞭，有些像懸疑小說，你到底還像以前那樣愛我嗎？我們結婚是為瞭什麼？我們是不是還是比較適閤一個人生活？整個探險，都是因為愛情。比較打動我的地方是，女主找到老公的筆記，看到裏麵夾著樹葉池塘照片這些她纔喜歡的東西，纔發現，他們竟是如此相愛。所以，當我看到電影裏麵居然弄瞭個婚外情，讓我很生氣。
评分Great adaption for the movie.but still not so hard-core as 三體.intensive and powerful wording was impactful.The movie showed more vivid of this bizarre and untouchable world than the book.
评分作者塑造瞭一個宏大美麗，引人入勝的謎，而且越搞越大。最後什麼都不解釋，以造成一種百爪撓心用好奇心活活氣死讀者的效果。 第二部讀瞭一半就停下瞭。因為據多個幸存讀者的書評稱，讀完三部麯的讀者大部分都被活活氣死瞭。 電影預告片很符閤想象，蠻期待的。

评分挺好看的偶爾浪漫一下都能把我驚訝到。consolation of authority這句蠻酷的，可以接著看一下本瞭。"have you been waiting for me all this time? Have I arrived yet” this is so sad.
