评分都說 VV 這本書受到索緒爾影響很大，在我看來，它把索批評得也很有力道，針鋒相對地主張注重語言的社會性，反對將語言從社會中割裂齣來的結構主義語言學，還正視語言的流變，這既是唯物的又是曆史的，很馬剋思主義。推薦第二部分第二、三、四章，以及最後兩個附錄中的評論文章。
