著者簡介

Henry Scott Stokes is a noted journalist who has worked for both the New York Times and the London Times. He was educated at Winchester College and New College, Oxford. After graduating, he moved to Japan, where he became a journalist of the Tokyo bureau of The Times. Also around this time, he became close friends with famous Japanese author Yukio Mishima. Most recently, he has edited an anthology entitled The Kwangju Uprising: Eyewitness Press Accounts of Korea's Tiananmen. He lives in Tokyo.

對比著讀瞭英文版、日文版和中文版，發現日文版的刪節比中文版還多。這本好像過陣兒還會齣新的中譯本，不知道用的還是不是以前的譯本。神奇

《美与暴烈》这本书，是我前些日子读的，本来刚读完的时候是想写点什么，但是因为实在难以消化一个如此凄厉，美和暴烈的故事，一时竟写不出。我对三岛由纪夫的作品并不熟悉，但对这个人倒是充满着好奇，所谓不吃鸡蛋，却想知道那只下蛋的母鸡，对于三岛这个人，想必很多人也和...

三岛由纪夫的存在感是我见识中最为离异而发聩的。在他的意识中，完全颠覆了日常与疯癫的制衡，这种离经叛道的幻灭就在于，唯有他人眼中“表演”时的三岛才让他的精神世界感到皈依和真实，而三岛远离乖张的常人面目则让他时时感到“表演”的假面。这正是《美与暴烈》的可怕...

看了《美与暴烈----三岛由纪夫的生与死》，真是没话说。立场是难得的客观，文字又美，也真是没辜负了三岛和喜欢三岛的我们。面对三岛，除非是极大的理解与尊重，否则委实难以客观。 封面上是一大束三岛君的目光，就那么耿直的逼视着你，可是这种逼视下又有很天真的东西。...
