Twenty-three poems that transformed English poetry Wordsworth and Coleridge composed this powerful selection of poetry during their youthful and intimate friendship. Reproducing the first edition of 1798, this edition of Lyrical Ballads allows modern readers to recapture the book’s original impact. In these poems—including Wordsworth’s "Lines written a few miles above Tintern Abbey" and Coleridge’s "The Rime of the Ancyent Marinere"—the two poets exercised new energies and opened up new themes.

I have so many copies and this one is for refreshment!
评分第一次讀序麯時,不知道為什會那麼雞凍,或許是第一次真正體會到 自然原來也有如此影響人類之強力。更佩服作者藉景抒情是如此自然而又震撼心靈。Poetry is the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings對詩歌理論我更是一百個贊成!這讓我聯想到那些把一點感情擠來擠去,無病呻吟的人,哈哈哈,高中那會我不也是成天矯情的要死~

评分The divine breeze, arising out of mechanical labor, vexes the heart permanently. The chain of decorum is perhaps what the skeptic, newly awake, his consciousness not fully arrived, his eyes half open against the haze and the fury of the world, adopts to dispell the temptation of old Psyche.
