這本書注重的更多是情節，對於看過金庸小說的國人來說，裏麵的場景小瞭很多。裏麵牽涉到種族和偏見，以及道德的拷問。不過整篇文字沒有太大難度，讀來比較容易理解，對於人物心裏的刻畫還是比較到位的。Uncle做瞭壞事（少兒不宜），father 作為sheriff也沒有去包庇他，最後uncle畏罪自殺瞭。就這樣公正公益戰勝瞭邪惡醜陋，世界又恢復瞭和平。
