肖恩·霍默希臘城市大學媒體研究係的高級講師。他是《弗雷德裏剋·詹姆遜》（Fredric Jameson，1998）一書的作者，並同道格拉斯·凱爾納（Douglas Kellner）共同主編瞭《弗雷德裏剋·詹姆遜：批判性讀本》（Fredric Jameson：A Critical Reader，2004）。

譯者簡介：

對於想要初步瞭解拉康理論的人來說，這本是非常好的選擇。沒有拘泥於三界的架構，用區區150頁把幾個關鍵概念講得清楚明瞭又不至於過度簡化。難得可貴之處在於開頭結尾單闢齣兩章來講對拉康的思想來源和後續研究，在具體介紹過程中也常常比較同一概念在拉康前中後期內涵的流變，幾乎每一章都會附上一個文學/電影批評的具體例子幫助理解。最後還開瞭一個很不錯的書單。唉，如果沒有英美學者這些banalisation的努力誰能讀得懂拉康啊……

用清晰簡潔的語言闡釋瞭Lacan的主要理論，第一次較為理解他的部分觀點（特彆是與Saussure相關的axis）But perhaps some theories can have more detailed illustrations. 感謝對Thesis的助力????
