讀的不是這本。讀的是寫霍剋尼的一本傳記，而且是藝術傢前半生的，從英國Bradford小鎮到倫敦學美術，後途徑紐約去洛杉磯發展，後在70年代已經很成功的記錄。作者所作功課嚴謹，看日記、新聞、訪談等各種資源，匯集成此傳記。內容上也是平平淡淡，介紹性的多，感情上的少，可能還是不瞭解藝術傢本人的緣故。
