The Turn of the Screw remains one of Henry James's most remarkable narratives, one whose popularity when it was published is matched by its power to stir readers today. 评分HJ作品中最有名的一本，但是却不好读，大概是“出自女家庭教师之手”，所以用词非常“高端”，读起来会变得没有耐心。其实内容并不复杂，但是小说中出现的各种ambiguity让人有了读下去探究下去的欲望，这个版本收录了对小说研究的一些文章，看看挺有启发的，尤其是弗洛伊德心理分析那部分。
