一个关于动物的简要的西方思想史回顾：从前苏格拉底经苏格拉底-柏拉图-亚里士多德到经院-启蒙-近代，表面上力图突破理性二分法实际上却从头至尾囿于这个框架中看不到物种的连续差异而非我-他差异。没什么亮点。不过看完了觉得有必要好好读一下亚里士多德，亚老师看来是一个非常丰富面面俱到又不乏精准的哲学家，可能价值正是在于他文本的内部复杂性对后世的启迪。最后拉封丹的也不错可以看看。

很简明扼要的梳理，亚里士多德一节好，出于心理科学的学科定位和思考而追寻到哲学根源，对西蒙栋而言，重要的问题不是同不同意笛卡尔式的理解，因为这种理解已经被笛卡尔主义者进行了历史延异，西蒙栋想要跳出笛卡尔主义的偏见但没有全然否定笛卡尔的思想，辩证理解很必要，但他也注意到了辩证理解使得人类也陷入了自己的辩证圈中。

虽然讲的是人-动物，但感觉很多可以用来看人-技术之间的关系。斯蒂格勒借鉴了很多西蒙栋的灵感，比如关于“个体性”作为是“灵魂的品质”；比如关于“心理的-器官的-社会的”划分，以及人-物平等的底色。而我们研究物，恰恰是希望理解人。
