结构主义的气息扑面而来。脑洞好大，从旧约新约互鉴（quanquam et in Vetere Novum lateat, et in Novo Vetus pateat）联想到马恩和列宁(Harvest版P80)，不是一般人可为也。整体很符合弗莱的一贯风格，酷爱宏大结构的类比，洞见也很多，丝毫不忌惮没有根据的类比。毕竟连创世纪都不在乎是否有史实根据（P45），弗莱老兄何必那么在乎。神话的二重性——故事性和知识性（P47）是个令人敬佩的总结。
