也许是因为开始读这本书的时候我需要ease in并且适应各种宗教相关的词汇和描写，觉得整个书的前半部分没有什么故事情节，plots, turns, events基本都被挤进了后半本，并且觉得结尾非常的仓促，赶紧交代完事儿我赶紧下班儿的感觉。读的时候很庆幸自己没有在青春期经历对sexuality的思考，躲开了frustration，并且之后想通得挺顺利的，然后在适婚适育年龄进入了完全不觉得婚姻恋爱是人生大事的阶段。喜欢Michael形容自己对Nick的感情的时候说的I'm not afraid of suffering too much, I'm afraid of suffering too little, or not in the right way。是啊，希望和你的苦难在一起。

Nick好可惜，以及故事真的很离奇了. We are all responsible for the choices we made.
