下载的电子书没有目录，看到有150页，非常期待，以为是像《孤独漫步者的沉思》那样的长散文，或者像乔伊斯写的爱尔兰，原来写Brownsville的只有50页，匆匆用犹太人的上帝结了尾。写学校的那段很好看，虽然也短了点，对老师的畏惧和性都没展开写，没想到30年代的公立学校和中国的公立学校有些像。
