Blixen wrote this book under her pen name Isak Dinesen. Her descriptive writing make this book very enjoyable. The book tells daily life in her coffee plantation near Nairobi. Because of her deep understanding and connection with this land, the book is especially vivid and unique, and also fragmentary, hence suitable for slow reading.

一直舍不得读最后一章Farewell to the farm 。 前几章写在非洲的生活一直都读的很开心 语言简洁 metaphor 也都好赞~ 写景色和人物都写的好好啊。 中途看了电影 了解了主角的写作背景和感情线， 阅读的速度就慢了下来。最终还是读完了，好不舍。
