著者简介

哈金（Ha Jin），原名金雪飞，首位获得美国国家图书奖的华人作家，1956年生于辽宁，14岁参加中国人民解放军，1977年考入黑龙江大学英语系，后在山东大学攻读美国文学硕士学位。1985年移居美国，现为波士顿大学教授。

读研时，文学课老师布置的小说。内容已忘。只记得还是马老师给我们复印的。她说她给她儿子把书吊在床上，睡觉都能看……是虎妈本妈没错了。

折腾了整本书，最后杨书记的一个简单的示好，换来的是邵彬的痛哭流涕、宣誓效忠，故事至此也就圆满落幕了。哈金用英文写出了个特别中国的故事，谁能跳出他所在的小池塘呢？
