A divorced, middle-aged English professor finds himself increasingly unable to resist affairs with his female students. 壓抑的憂傷和無奈貫穿全書

評分睏難。劇情設定都是南非太熟悉的真實場景，文字簡潔故事性高。但人物完全無法喜歡起來，所有人的行動都不能理解和認同。上一本剛讀完生命中無法承受之輕，下意識地就把David跟Tomas對比瞭，同樣都是womanizer，麵對public prosecution時也都選擇瞭避開而不願屈服，但Tomas就討人喜歡多————瞭。看完這本就是一肚子氣，因為真實地過分所以簡直想踹所有人物一腳（。

Quel malheureux...太悲情瞭，非常同情那個父親，更加同情那個女兒。南非這個國傢實在是太多故事太沉重瞭。。。
