相比之前一本Lisa See的Shanghai Girls，這本書對民國時候的天津上海的描寫靠譜多瞭。挺精彩的個人自傳，但是每個章節配的中文題目，實在是詞不達意，甚至牛頭不對馬嘴。有沒有中英文水平相當的作者啊。

看了两遍，我本身也很好奇那个旧时代的人怎么生活，这本书给我一种穿越时空的感觉。adeline很励志，但不是所有人都像她一样聪明可以靠自己智慧打拼。很羡慕这样的女人。看的是英文版，好奇有没有中文版，书中有些情节还是对communist蛮负面的。
