没听过约翰欧文，也没看过他写的书，能把它买回家是因为封面上的那个十字架刚开始读会觉得有读不下去，厚厚的一本密密的文字，可当读到第二章的时候越来越喜欢上这本书，喜欢作者叙事的方法，喜欢他的比喻，也喜欢约翰妈妈那样的女人，无论做什么不需要解释也不需要别人的理解...

其实在很早认识村上之后，认识了约翰欧文，是村上介绍的。或者好作家都会相互吸引吧，其实地理距离隔得很远。相较于比较薄的书，还是最喜欢大簿头。因为大簿头的容量大，其中会有更多有趣的事和更多的可能性。而欧文的书大部分都是大簿头，像《寡居的一年》《盖普眼中的世...

It's a good completely story about the life of Owen Meany from born to death. He studied, worked, practiced baseball, loved based on the faith to the God. "Reading is a gift… If you care about something, you have to protect it. If you're lucky enough to find a way of life you love, you have to find the courage to live it."

紧赶慢赶,终于在临走前用一天一章的速度解决了...只是为了最后十页!!!Johnny说知道生父是多么pointless的事阿.我也觉得pointless阿!为什么要写阿...完全就没有意义...我本也费解杀母仇人=好基友这种奇怪的段子.阅毕全书,倒也不觉奇怪了.
