短篇中無一例外會從一個地點到達另一個地點旅行吧 那就在毛姆大叔的短篇裏旅行 目前為止最喜歡rain 結局的驚訝又閤乎情理 看多瞭就會想大叔會給這篇又來個怎麼樣的結局呢 看瞭幾遍月亮與六便士喜歡大叔 看多瞭就順理成章成為腦殘粉 嘿嘿

早期的作品 還真是稚嫩

當看完最後一個故事的最後一段文字，我也覺得毛姆的內心深處認為女人是空洞的善變的甚至是冷酷無情的。拋開這些不說，故事寫的十分精彩，簡練而又刻畫到位，然後通常在故事的尾聲部分甩齣一個悲涼的嘲諷的大包袱，砸的你一時不知道說什麼好。

昨天看完了这本薄薄的小书里收录的第一篇小说《Rain》，结局很意外，一个极端严苛自律的传教士，不带丝毫宽容和怜悯，想把一个寻欢作乐的妓女送回监狱，但是最终却屈从于自己的欲望，在给妓女做忏悔的过程中被她引诱（也很有可能是他不由自主的rape了这个妓女，从后来妓女的话...
