彌爾頓是我真正喜歡的外國詩人，讀中文版翻譯，倍感他的詩歌充滿磅礴氣勢，讓我忍不住找原版翻，盡管原版有很多單詞不認識，但彌爾頓詩歌的氣勢深深地震撼到我。

感覺這個主題最難處理的地方是從無罪到墮落的過渡稍不注意就有determinism的危險。而我現在覺得彌爾頓刻畫的夏娃還是很成功的從被造起藉用的變形記中Narcissus的形象其實是一個ambiguity——並不直指墮落亞當與夏娃正如這個故事的正反兩麵互為foil。至於撒旦他與Sin和Death的亂倫關係同樣有Narcissus的影子指嚮另一極端。不明白那些看完這三角亂倫與撒旦一夥變成一群蛇還覺得撒旦是史詩中的英雄的人是怎麼想的彌爾頓要批評傳統heroism也不會把hero糟踐至此
