讀的時候總在想，他要是能寫完就好瞭。不過轉念又想，這樣的流浪，怕是永遠都不會終結的。從這點上講拜倫可謂深得浪漫主義精髓，他不想“從中間開始”，亦不想輕易收尾（也有可能是因為死在瞭希臘）。前三個canto電閃雷鳴般感人。另，和莫紮特的歌劇齣入還是挺大的。

拜倫勛爵的身死，保全瞭無數庸人和靚女的貞節。（雖然我還是想說，全詩要能精簡掉一半多好……
