评分寫作課總說要“使句式豐富”，知易行難，這本書就是教我如何豐富句式，通過巧妙使用punctuation，將句式排列組閤用於文間，也是寫作的基本能力之一吧。
评分寫作無非就講求三點：詞匯、語法和行文風格。該書舉齣可以概括寫作的二十個句式，體大思精。二十個句式又可以不斷組閤變易，生生不息。依我看，作者的所謂句式，大部分是利用標點符號的變化來生成，如冒號、分號、破摺號的使用，在英文寫作都有極重要的意義。第一章講句子成分分析；第二章介紹二十個句式；第三章講二十個句式的組閤；第四章講一些基本的修辭手法；第五章利用一些經典文本讓讀者體會分析。附錄詳細介紹各種標點符號的使用要求等等。劉勰曾說：“八體雖殊，會通閤散，得其環中，則輻輳相成。故宜摹體以定習，因性以練纔。文之司南，用此道也。”總而言之，EXCITED!
