著者簡介

安迪·凱斯勒（Andy Kessler）

1980年，安迪·凱斯勒畢業於康奈爾大學電子工程係。

他先在貝爾實驗室擔任瞭5年的芯片設計師和程序員，之後加入華爾街成為一名證券分析師。很快，他因發現科技趨勢而被《機構投資者》雜誌評為“明星分析師”。

後來，他擔任瞭風險投資基金經理，創立瞭對衝基金Velocity Capital Management。

在20世紀90年代後期，安迪因為成功地抓住科技股的大趨勢而迅速地把1000萬美元的基金變成瞭10億美元。而在科技股崩潰前，他又將資金歸還給投資者，最終全身而退，成為華爾街的奇跡。

工業革命以來科技進步，社會演化，經濟發展的一部精簡史，很有意思，信息量很大。不足的是語言風格可讀性不太強。這大概是因為作者是一位有工程師背景的對衝基金經理，大概是大腦主頻很高的人，這本書要說的東西又很多，所以寫齣來的東西壓縮感，跳躍性很強，和經過專業寫作訓練的專欄記者、暢銷書作者寫的東西感覺上非常不同
