前三章可作為記憶研究的introduction來閱讀，較之於幾本知名的Reader好使，Halbwachs、Warburg、Nora和Assmanns是骨架。第四到六章是Astrid Erll個人對culture memory的研究著述。全書徵引的文獻非常新，論述有德國記憶研究的影子，有意識地分析瞭不少當下正在發生的「記憶問題」、重視跨學科與跨國（全球化）等視角。references相當細緻，很有參考價值。（文學一章真的好難唸，木有知識背景……慘）
