读这本书的时候一直有种隐隐的伤心感觉，因为心里知道作者已经去世了，而且不是在战场上死去，是在射击场上被另一个患有PTSD的退伍军人杀死的。Chris经历了好几场deployment, 从军队出来之后找到了新的人生方向，与妻子的关系渐渐修复，和孩子们也熟络起来，却在这样的时刻死去了。好难过哦。另一个感受是：这个世界上真的没有感同身受可言，Chris时常说下达指令的政治家，发布新闻的媒体，和远在和平世界里生活的人们并不知道上战场是什么样子。他们对士兵们有很多期待和要求，却不知道这些一二三四点并不太可能全部满足。就像提高战胜率和降低死亡率一样有时候是难以兼容的事情，它只是一种期许一个目标。最后一个感受：生活中的很多事情都不是事儿。相比那些在保卫家园的士兵，我们在经历的大部分苦真不是事儿。
