著者簡介

Martin Parr was born in Britain in 1952. Parr's early works in the 1970s are solely black and white photography, but after 1980 he switched to color film and continued his focus in color photography. His inspiration for color photography originated from the American photo-documentarists. In 1994 Parr became a member of Magnum Photographic Corporation.

去年7月Martin Parr在亞特蘭大藝術博物館舉辦瞭個展，《Up and Down Peachtree》是這次展覽的場刊，內容依然是他最感興趣的題材－“破産國傢”人們休閑旅遊和消費的方式，編輯手法一貫調皮，不時將一些照片中齣現的小動作或人物單獨剪切並放大，這本書像是Martin Parr自己策展並編輯的一場紙上展覽。
