Gathering some of Alex Webbs most iconic images, many of which were taken in the far corners of the earth, "The Suffering of Light" brings a fresh perspective to his extensive catalogue. Recognized as a pioneer of American colour photography, Webb has since the 1970s consistently created photographs characterized by intense colour and light. His work, with its richly layered and complex composition, touches on multiple genres, including street photography, photojournalism and fine art, but as Webb claims, to me it all is photography. 评分今天再次翻看，想起第一次打開的時候，帶給我的震撼足以讓我重新理解攝影：原來影像衝擊是真實存在的，藝術與記錄是可以閤二為一的，色彩與構圖可以優雅地介於刻意與無意之間。攝影在做的三件事：觀察、體會、捕捉，其實也就是人這一生該做的事。光之苦，太美瞭。
