托馬斯·阿斯布裏奇是倫敦大學瑪麗皇後學院的中世紀史副教授。除本書外，主要著作有《最偉大的騎士：威廉·馬歇爾傳》（The Greatest Knight, 2015）、《第一次十字軍東徵新史》（The First Crusade ：A New History, 2004）。

馬韆，四川大學比較文學 與世界文學碩士，齊齊哈爾大學講 師，著有《醫院騎士團全史》，譯作 《1453──君士坦丁堡的陷落》。

花瞭三個月的時間終於翻完，難度中等，隻是對背景知識很缺乏所以看的很茫然，大概吸收瞭三成左右。以後有空在翻幾迴看看。

十字軍東徵的題材，應該是代錶作不少，這本是在馬來西亞齣差的時候偶然買下來的，讀完用瞭好幾年，講的還不錯
